We have seen many betamax services offering free voip or cheap calls to many destinations around the world. However not many offer SIP compatibility, which is a major issue for many of us.
Today, we are discussing a fairly old betamax service called SIP Discount. SIPDiscount is another betamax outfit but purely based on and works via SIP protocol. That means you can use SIP Discount via your favorite SIP client such as X-lite or your LinkSys SIP Phone or SIP ATA.

If you like the service, you may want to buy a few $$ talktime. however be aware, that betamax billing isnt really great and they sometimes screw up by billing hideen charges etc.
If you buy talktime, it will allow you to make Max 300 minutes per week of free calls, measured over the last 7 days and per unique IP address.
so if you are one of the current happy betamax customer, you might want to explore SIPDiscount for pure simplicity of SIP based cheap calls.
