Betamax has finally launched a new VOIP service as we predicted after the recent calling rates hike for Jumblo and SmartVOIP.
Betamax/DellMont Sarl has given way for a new VOIP service called Rynga. Rynga.com offers cheap international calls around the world and free international calls service to certain destinations. Thanks to Sunny from Bangkok for breaking the news to us.
Rynga Free international call offer is extremely good for anyone who wishes to make free calls to Bangladesh (Landline + Mobile) and Malaysia (Landline + Mobile). Please note that the free calls only last for 120 days and it needs you have a paid rynga account.
Rynga offers following ways to make calls:
1) Rynga Softphone: You can download Rynga softphone from here
2) Rynga SIP Service: Rynga also offers its VOIP services via SIP. Check following Rynga SIP settings:
SIP port : 5060
Registrar : sip.rynga.com
Proxy server : sip.rynga.com
Outbound proxy server : leave empty
Account name : your rynga username
Password : your rynga password
Display name/number : your rynga username or voipnumber
Stunserver (option) : stun.rynga.com
Rynga Supported Codecs:
G.711 (64 kbps)
G.726 (32 kbps)
G.729 (8 kbps)
G.723 (5.3 & 6.3 kbps)
GSMFR (13.2 kbps)
3) Rynga Local Access Numbers: Rynga offers local access numbers in several countries through which you can place calls. This method is similar to Phone to Phone Calls.
4) Rynga Phone to Phone: Rynga Callback service when Rynga calls you back and then connect the other party. You pay for both legs, callback and call to other party
Rynga offers 0.007 Euro cents per minute to India mobile and 0.010 euro cents per minute to India landline.
Looking at all other free destinations and calling rates, its very clear that Betamax wants to penetrate the market again with new VOIP service Rynga, untill of course they launch a new service.
