Telifu Unlimited Calls to India VOIP Provider Review

If you are considering a new VOIP Provider Telifu for making Unlimited Calls to India. Wait! Read this Telifu review before you sign up for them.

VOIP Guide has always been on the consumer side, we wrote hard hitting reviews of VOIP products and services to help consumers make the right choice.

Today we look at Telifu, a new VOIP Provider offering unlimited free calls to India. Those who already sign up to their services by reading about them somewhere else, probably didn't read the other side of the story which I am going to analyse today.

Most people thought Telifu providers USA based service which you can use to make calls to India. That means, telifu adapter will be sent to India and your family needs to use it to make calls to you or you can call them for FREE.

Telifu.com offers 5 calling plans out of which 3 are for India.

1) Bronze India Plan: For $9.99 per month, This plan gives you Unlimited Incoming Calls. Outgoing calls are billed at 2.1 cents per minute.

2) Gold India plan: For $16.99 per month, this plan gives you unlimited incoming to India and outgoing calls to USA/Canada.

3) Platinum India plan: For $19.99 per month, this plan gives you unlimited incoming to India and outgoing to USA/Canada. Additionally, you can choose your USA area code number.

A few things worth mentioning about Telifu before I start my analysis.

1) Telifu doesn't provide any contact address however gives their customer service phone number on their website.

2) For each Plan, there is adapter shipping charge of $9.99 and activation fee of $29.99.

3) Only 15 day trial period.

4) You need a broadband connection in India in order to use Telifu Service.

5) Trial period is defined as 250 minutes of free calling (inbound & outbound) or 30 days of free calling, which ever comes first. If you do not return the telifu adapter within 14 days, a recovery fee of $69.99 will be assessed.

5) A processing fee of US $ 29.99 assessed to close the account.

Now, I believe you already realised that Telifu is a total alien VOIP Provider with no advantage to consumers.

The idea of using a telifu adapter in India doesn't make any sense. I would rather use a linksys adapter in India and setup a IPKall number and call that number from USA for unlimited times.

You can also purchase 2 linksys adapters and make SIP-SIP calls and talk till your get a headache :-)

I wonder what on earth, Telifu was thinking before even coming out with these India calling plans especially when there are other prominent VOIP Providers like Nymgo, Localphone already providing quality services to Indians abroad.

I guess they are betting on the "Unlimited Calls to India" gimmick which after reading our Telifu Review, doesn't justify anymore.

My only honest advice for Telifu, STAY AWAY!
