Rebtel takes over Talkster FreeWorldDial Consolidation in VOIP continues

As we predicted a few years back, the Bigger VOIP players will slowly take over the smaller VOIP wonders one by one and only a few big players will dominate VOIP in 2012.

It seems the situation is now unfolding as Rebtel bought Talkster Service (Free World Dialing), an award-winning consumer calling service from Talkster. Which means all of talkster's free world dialing customers will now run on Rebtel platform and have access to Rebtel in 51 countries to call anywhere in the world for free or for just pennies per minute. This also means , Talkster customers can now use Rebtel Computer Calls to make free or super-cheap calls from any country to anywhere in the world, as well as Rebtel SMS for low-cost international text messaging.

Rebtel also recently bought Gorilla Mobile and now Talkster which clearly shows their dedicated and passion to lead the VOIP industry. Its also important to note that beating market expectations, Rebtel's Revenue in 2009 was close to $20 million and grew 75% versus 2008.

We believe Rebtel will be even powerful in delivering low cost solutions to their consumers and hopefully will lower down calling rates to destinations better covered by Talkster.
